I went to Thee Parkside last night for the first time, having heard about it for years. It’s in the Potrero Hill hill area of SF, which is great because although no transportation goes there, I have a 1999 Chevy Astro and parking is as easy as Bake Oven. I saw a band called HOOKERS, who sounded like Slayer’s Minor Threat covers, and at times like a faster Tragedy. I had forgot about this kind of music. It was searing, maddening (in a good way), and although my ears are still ringing and I may have suffered permanent hearing loss in my right ear, it was worth it.
